Pacific Palisades Fire Clean-up
Security Paving Company played a vital role in the clean-up efforts following the Palisades-Malibu Fire in early 2025, contributing specialized expertise in debris removal and environmental restoration. As part of the region’s coordinated response led by agencies like the US Army Corps of Engineers, hundreds of contracted trucks moved thousands of debris loads from the devastated area daily, helping residents and businesses begin the process of rebuilding. A key component of Security Paving Company's work was its partnership with Recycled Base Materials, Inc., which provided portable crushing plants to process concrete and asphalt debris onsite. Instead of sending all fire-damaged material to landfills, Recycled Base Materials converted it into useful construction aggregates such as RAP (reclaimed asphalt pavement), lean concrete base, and Class II base material. This approach was instrumental in recycling efforts, dramatically reducing landfill use, and supporting sustainable rebuilding throughout Malibu and the Palisades. By turning fire-related debris into valuable recycled products, Security Paving Company and Recycled Base Materials not only expedited cleanup, but also set a high standard for environmental stewardship in disaster recovery.
